Elizabeth Pawley
Elizabeth has been facilitating groups in pursuit of greater health and happiness since 2008.
Her aim is to create a safe container, free from judgement, where each person feels free to be able to explore their own inner realms- of thoughts, feelings, emotions and spirit.
Through deep listening from a place of compassion, we can find our way back to our heart centre, where we tap into our innate wisdom, and may be able to see our way through self-doubt, pain and perceived failings towards a more holistic view of ourselves. Through accepting ourselves as our whole human experience to date (rather than just the aspects we like to think we are) we find new strengths, greater compassion for ourselves and others, defying the social conditioning that has tried to mould us to this point, and bringing a new spring to our step and joy of living.

Prior to 2002, Elizabeth's career was in ecology, working as a Countryside Ranger in various locations including Dunkeld, Morayshire and Angus, and then as an Area Officer with Scottish Natural Heritage in Tayside. She has always had a deep love of the countryside, and enjoys time in nature to reflect, put things into perspective and feel at one with life again.
In 2007 she chose to become self-employed, and regularly teaches piano and yoga in Kirriemuir.
In addition she has worked with some very inspirational teachers for her own self-development and to learn some skills to help facilitate others in opening to their full potential. Her initiation into a new way of working was through fire, after she found herself (long story!) at a firewalk at Lendrick Lodge near Callander in 2002, despite having previously relegated firewalking to the category: 'mad things that OTHER PEOPLE might do'!

This led eventually to her meeting Peggy Dylan of SUNDOOR School of Transpersonal Education in 2007 and since then she has done extensive training with her. She completed her certification training as a Firewalk Instructor in 2008, and has been involved in facilitating and supporting numerous firewalks since then. In the same year she gained certification as a Breathwork Practitioner with SUNDOOR, and has been running twice yearly breathwork weekends in the hot pool at Lendrick Lodge for seven years from 2010. More recently she has been working with Kim Rosen of Poetry Depths Mystery School, including some very powerful breathwork training.

In 2010 she completed Level 1 in Yoga Teacher Training with the Ananda School of Yoga and Meditation at The Expanding Light Retreat in California. This is an intensive training, which involved being immersed in a yogic way of life for a full month, within the spiritual community of Ananda Village. Elizabeth has practised yoga over many years and worked with various different teachers, most recently with Donna Farhi and Sandra Scaravelli. She has been running her own yoga classes in Kirriemuir, and a few elsewhere, since 2010.
In 2011 Elizabeth began her training in Germany as a Water Pourer for Sweatlodge ceremonies. She continued her training in Scotland over the next few years and now holds Sweatlodge ceremonies in Angus and elsewhere from time to time.
During this time she participated in the annual Moon Dance ceremonies over four years in Germany with Eva Mack. This is an ancient Mayan ceremony in honour of the feminine that was introduced to the west from Mexico twenty years ago. She also completed a Vision Quest in the Swiss mountains with Yvonne Laeubli, which involves 4 days and nights of fasting, in solitude- a profoundly beautiful and enriching experience!
After meeting Chloe Goodchild at a workshop in Edinburgh in 2011, Elizabeth went on to train as a facilitator with The Naked Voice, graduating in 2014. Since then she has facilitated several workshops in exploration of the voice, and held a local chanting group.
